SecurePayWEB - An Overview
SecurePayWEB, created by AP Technology, is a web-based service for positive pay file conversion. With no local software to install, SecurePayWEB is compatible with every bank positive pay format and can convert data or print files from virtually any accounting application.
Step 1: Check File Upload
SecurePayWEB takes check data that is exported from any accounting application from the following sources:
- Check Register
- Check Report
- Check History
- Formatted Check Run
- Custom Report
The source file can be formatted in any of the following ways:
- Text File
- Delimited (Space, Comma, or Other)
- Fixed Width (columnar)
- Print File – ASCII or txt (Fixed Page Length)
- EDI x828
- Microsoft Excel File - .xls
Step 2: Check File Conversion
After check data is encrypted and securely uploaded, SecurePayWEB converts the data, and allows the user to review, void or update the file. With one click, the file is processed and ready to be downloaded and transmitted to the bank.
Step 3: Positive Pay File Download
Once converted, the positive pay file is downloaded by the client. The client now transmits the converted file to the bank using the bank-established method.

- Manual Check Acceptance
User can manually add a single check or multiple checks to the positive pay file. - Void Identification
Depending on bank requirements, a user can identify or delete voided checks. - Account Flexibility
SecurePayWEB can create a single positive pay file, or create multiple files, as required for separate bank accounts. (This depends on the bank’s requirements). - “Payee” Positive Pay Compatible
SecurePayWEB can generate positive pay files for payee name verification. The positive pay file generated can include the date, amount, check number / account, and optionally the payee name for each issued check. - Easy Implementation
Simply upload an initial test file and our Technical Support Specialists assist with the setup by creating the Check Import Template and reviewing the output with the user. If needed, our skilled technicians will also assist clients in obtaining the initial check-issue file from their accounting applications.
